Kraematon Supports 2014 “Heart to Heart” Golf Tournament

The Kraematon Group was a proud supporter of the 2014 “Heart to Heart” Golf Tournament, benefitting Children’s Hospital Boston on August 11, 2014.  The event was held at the Walpole Country Club, with 144 golfers teeing off.  The event began with lunch, followed by tournament play, dinner, awards, and finally a silent auction.

Staff members of The Kraematon Group participated in the tournament, volunteer to help man the tees, and helped coordinate the event.

In 2007, Greg Clinton, President of Kraematon Investment Advisors, learned the news that his then 3-year old daughter Alexia would need a heart transplant after being diagnosed with Acute Dilated Cardiomyopathy.  Alexia began by receiving a Berlin Heart, a device not yet FDA approved.  This life-saving device served as a bridge until a proper transplant heart could be located.  Eventually, a donor match was located, and Alexia received her new heart.  Thanks in part to the great care given by the doctors and nurses at Children’s Hospital Boston, Alexia is thriving!

Over the last 7-years, the scramble style tournament has raised approximately $230,000; $33,000 in 2014 alone!  Proceeds from the “Heart to Heart” Golf Tournament are donated to the Pediatric Transplant Division of Children’s Hospital Boston for research to further FDA approval of the Berlin Heart.

Thanks to all attendees and volunteers for making the 2014 “Heart to Heart” Golf Tournament a tremendous success once again!
